Spring Break and St. Patrick’s Day collide in grand fashion this weekend.

Nederland Heritage Festival

Nederland: March 13-18
During Spring break in Nederland, the city celebrates its Dutch heritage. The Windmill Museum and Acadian House at Tex Ritter Park form the background for a carnival, music, and the famed Cuisine Walk.

Azalea & Spring Flower Trail

Tyler: March 16-April 1
The 59th annual event features mile after mile of blooming azaleas, dogwoods, and spring flowers—described as a floral wonderland and a photographer's paradise. Enjoy springtime in Tyler and stroll the beautiful gardens, join one of the many community events, and visit the city's offerings of fine and performing arts.

Texas Pinball Festival

Frisco: March 16-18
Leave your quarters at home and enjoy an entire weekend of game room fun. This is one of the most anticipated shows of the year and will feature more than 400 vintage and new pinball machines, as well as classic arcade games all set on free play. Enjoy a variety of adult and child pinball tournaments throughout the weekend to test players' pinball skills for trophies and prizes. You can meet the Incredible Hulk, Lou Ferrigno too.

International Friendship Festival

Eagle Pass: March 16-25
Includes the Abrazo Ceremony on March 16, parade on March 24, Noches Mexicanas on March 22-24, and a carnival through the festival's run.

Bud Light St. Patrick's Day Festival

San Antonio: March 16-17
The River Walk is magically transformed into the River Shannon with eco-friendly green dye. More than 40 artisans will display and sell their beautiful handmade merchandise along the San Antonio River Walk, while a procession of 14 decorated floats filled with Irish entertainment—including several bagpipers—will float to help everyone get in the festive spirit. Festival entertainment includes face painting, henna artistry, caricatures, Irish food, photo booth, and Irish novelty items.

Kiss Me I'm Irish Train

Grapevine: March 17
Find luck on the rails during the Grapevine Vintage Railroad's unique St. Patrick's Day event, which features festive fun including green beer to commemorate this most Irish of celebrations. Riders must be 21 and older.

St. Paddy's Texas Style

Lewisville: March 17
A St. Patrick's Day celebration featuring both Irish and Texas music, plus fun for all ages—and beer of course. Amusements for kids include a 50-foot zip line. The water feature in the Plaza is even turned green for this Celtic celebration.

Madison County Fair

Madisonville: March 17-24
The week-long fair brings cowboy fun to Madisonville with an extensive livestock show, art competition, a family and consumer science show, and a Cowboy's Professional Rodeo Association rodeo.

The Texas Food Truck Showdown

Waco: March 17
The fourth annual competition welcomes food trucks from across the state and thousands of foodies to indulge and enjoy live entertainment, a beer and wine garden, and a kids zone. The Texas Food Truck Champion will be awarded a $5,000 grand prize.

Texas Ranger Day

Burton: March 17
Celebrate Burton's history and honor former and current Texas Rangers with a day full of activities including tasty food, live action by the Old West Rangers, kids’ activities, and more.

St. Patrick's Day Parade

Surfside Beach: March 17
One of the longest-lasting and most fun traditions held at Surfside Beach, this annual event—includes a parade where part of the route goes down the beach, and there are plenty of free beads and candy thrown from the floats. In addition to the parade, there are costume contests, a social, fundraisers, and a re-enactment of the Battle of Fort Velasco.

Wild Hog Explosion

Bandera: March 17
Wild hogs are brought in for an action-packed day. Teams of two enter the ring, catch a hog, and race to the finish line. Fun-filled day with vendor booths, arts & crafts, cook-offs, music, and more.

Luckenbach Mud Dauber Festival and Chili Cookoff

Fredericksburg: March 17
The famed Texas dance halls hosts its annual open chili cookoff and music festival, named in honor of that pesky wasp.
