Swing your way into November with the Texas Dance Hall Tour, chow down on some sausages in New Braunfels at Wurstfest, or get your holiday shopping done early this weekend.

Texas Dance Hall Tour

Austin: Nov. 1-4 
Ray Benson & Asleep at the Wheel present this tour of four historic and unique dance halls in the beautiful Texas Hill Country: Gruene Dance Hall, Quihi Dance Hall, Twin Sisters Dance Hall, and Albert Ice House. Think of it as a “land cruise” with port-of-calls being several of the state’s historical dance halls, featuring a range of notable Western swing, country, and Texas artists.

Rockport Film Festival

Rockport: Nov. 1-3 
This event celebrates the best of independent cinema on the Texas Coast. Showcasing shorts, features, documentaries, animations, and student films, Rockport Film Festival is a welcoming three-day event which highlights talent from Texas and beyond.


New Braunfels: Nov. 2-11 
During the 10-day festival, find a variety of entertainment, food, and fun on the Wurstfest Grounds in Landa Park as well as many special events throughout New Braunfels and Comal County.

San Antonio: Nov. 2
The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center continues its annual tradition of celebrating the Day of the Dead with a free family-friendly event beginning at sundown, with hands-on learning activities and a book launch in honor of voting rights champion Willie Velasquez. Live mariachi music and ballet folklorico dances will be followed by a procession across the westside Guadalupe campus.

Victoria: Nov. 2 
Celebrate the Day of the Dead with the critters of The Texas Zoo.


Burnet: Nov. 2-4
The music, art, and nature festival celebrates its 10th birthday in Burnet. What began as a gathering of music lovers on a ranch in Utopia, Texas, has evolved into a community of thinkers, doers, and creators. This year's event features more than 35 bands including headliners STS9, Lukas Nelson, and Patty Griffin.

Theatre Forum at Round Top

Round Top: Nov. 2-4 
The Round Top Festival Institute's 21st annual event explores theatre in collaboration with other art forms, disciplines, and life itself. Internationally acclaimed actor, composer, and playwright Danny Ashkenasi will enlighten the forum about his work on and behind the stage, as well as his in-school program of creating original music theater with children. 

A Christmas Fair

El Paso: Nov. 2-4
This annual shopping gift market has officially kicked off the holiday season in El Paso for the past 43 years. The event, recognized as an El Paso tradition, is staged with more than 220 merchants, which contribute to the festivities with great items for sale, and an average of 15,000 shoppers.

A one-day pop-up shop at the South Congress Hotel featuring more than 30 curated vendors dedicated to parents and their minis.

El Paso: Nov. 4
The award-winning actress, comedian, best-selling author, and icon in comedy is out on tour with a stop at El Paso's Plaza Theatre for "An Evening of Laughter and Reflection."
