Get in a patriotic mood watching the boat parade that gets underway at noon—the best views are from Broadway adjacent to Little Bay or directly across from the north end of Rockport Beach. The Wendell Family Fireworks Show is held at dark later in the evening.
Art Festival

Founded in 1969 as a way to stimulate the arts economy in Rockport, an emerging art colony on the Texas Gulf Coast, the Rockport Art Festival has since become a staple of the summer season on the coast, with over 120 artists selling their work to over 10,000 art buyers.

The Rockport Yacht Club hosts this annual Texas Sailing Association-sanctioned youth sailing event, where participants must be under 20 to compete. Potentially 90 boats may be entered in this event that brings families to the Rockport area for a summer weekend.
