Head to the Butterfly Capital of Texas for a magical day celebrating colorful flying insects we can’t help but love. The Fall Butterfly Festival on Oct. 19 is held in and around downtown Jasper and features arts and crafts, live music, food, and multiple butterfly releases at the Outdoor Learning Center throughout the day. There’s also a plant sale, book sale, photo contest, and a variety of children’s activities to help them learn about the different species of butterflies. The Butterfly House is open all day, and there are guides available to teach guests about the different types of butterflies and how to tell them apart.
