Texas’ own soul singer-songwriter Leon Bridges and indie pop group Chvrches are headlining this year’s Fortress Festival at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. The third annual festival, April 27-28, offers a diverse lineup of musicians including punk-soul-rock group Tank and the Bangas, country singer-songwriter Red Shahan, renowned Dallas-based lyricist Bobby Sessions, and Austin-based psychedelic rock band The Bright Light Social Hour.

In addition to the festival, other venues around Fort Worth and Dallas host pre-parties and kickoffs. Deep Ellum Brewing Co. is hosting the official pre-party on April 14 with drink specials and festival merch; Fort Worth mayor Betsy Price is leading the Tour de Fortress, a bike ride around town on the morning of the festival; and Fortress Festival passes also include admission to the Modern Museum of Fort Worth starting a week before the festival.
