Some of the most talented chefs from around Texas are facing off at this year’s Lamb Jam, a traveling cooking competition that kicks off at Austin’s Hotel Van Zandt March 31. The judges—event attendees as well as food critics from various publications—vote on which dish is the best in each of the four categories: Asian, Latin, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern. There are also expertly crafted cocktails and locally sourced beer and wine. The “Best in Show” champion from the Austin competition will advance to the finals round, where they will compete with other champions from around the country for the coveted title of “Lamb Jam Master.”
