Halloween season is upon us, and Llano is a great place to celebrate. If you love decorating jack-o-lanterns or just love looking at cool ones, head over to the annual Llano River Pumpkin Float on Oct. 26. Bring your own carved pumpkin to float it on the river alongside the others, creating a large glowing masterpiece that reflects off the water until well after sundown. Along with this beautiful display, the event features live music, a cake walk, children’s activities, and dance performances. There’s even a chance to carve pumpkins at the event to add them to the float, and costumes are encouraged.
