As one of the largest lantern festivals in the U.S., La Marque’s Magical Winter Lights is something you have to see and experience to believe. From Nov. 15-Jan. 5, see 20 acres of lights arranged in eight themed lantern displays—one is a large walk-in castle with intricate lantern detailing, another is an underwater wonderland, and another is a rendering of the city of Houston. Along with the lights, there’s kids entertainment like the dinosaur exhibit and rides, visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus, and carnival rides and games. This year’s event also brings Chinese acrobats to perform each night as well as Chinese arts and crafts stations.
