Aransas Pass’ Shrimporee celebration is in its 71st year, and it’s ready to bring the same fun to the coast as it does summer after summer. From June 7-9, two stages are packed with events, competitions, and live music of all types. The classic events back this year include the shrimp-eating contest, performances from folklórico dancers and mariachis, the men’s and women’s Sexy Legs contest, a carnival, pony rides, and more, and this year’s festival includes the entertaining Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show. The event also features a farmer’s market and many arts and crafts vendors, and many of the proceeds from Shrimporee go to various nonprofits in the area.
