July 6-Aug. 10
Enjoy fun all summer on the Trinity River during this free weekly tubing and concert series, held for six consecutive Saturdays during the hottest weeks of the year. Bring kiddos (life jackets required), pets on a leash, chairs, and anything that can float without a motor—tubes, rafts, kayaks. Five bands take to the stage each week, and the concerts culminate with a fireworks show.
After the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey in 2017, Rockport is ready as ever to reclaim its place as a summer destination. Held on Fourth of July weekend, the Rockport Center for the Arts’ 50th annual festival offers live music and entertainment, tasty food and drink, and original creations from more than 120 artists and crafters.
Marfa, Alpine, Fort Davis, and Marathon
Held at more than 10 venues, the festival welcomes travelers from all over to enjoy music throughout West Texas. More than 40 artists take the stage in four days, with free music during the day and all-ages shows scattered throughout. This year’s lineup includes Erika Wennerstrom, Gina Chavez, Kody West, and Bidi Bidi Banda
