Jim Bowie Days

Bowie Rodeo Arena and Downtown Bowie, 413 Pelham St.
Started in 1967, the Jim Bowie Days celebration and rodeo is held the last full week in June each summer. Events include a rodeo, parade, concerts, hamburger feed, Native American artifact show, quilt show, pet parade, cornhole tournament, golf tournament, and a fishing tournament. This year’s Saturday rodeo concert features Curtis Grimes.

July Jam highlights championship fiddlers on stage at the Bowie Community Center. There’s also a chicken meal and a silent auction.
