In 1936, Texas’ centennial year, the idea of an annual Coleman Rodeo arose when nine businessmen wanted to do something special to celebrate Texas’s 100th anniversary. Today, the rodeo continues on with a street parade, vendors, shopping, golfing, mutton busting, and rodeo events.
