Beast of the Brazos

Indian Springs Park, 101 S University Parks Drive

The Beast of the Brazos is an open-water swim in between the banks of the Brazos River in Waco. This swim features a similar route as Ironman Waco and Ironman 70.3 Waco with 1.2- and 2.4-mile route options. All registered swimmers receive a swim cap and T-shirt, as well as a finisher’s medal.

Waco Wild West 100 Bike Ride

The Waco Wild West 100 has been around since 1985. All volunteer driven and a nonprofit, the ride’s goals are to encourage and motivate people to cycle, to promote safe riding and camaraderie, as well as to donate to local nonprofits. Rain or shine, this year's bike tour through Central Texas benefits the Be The Match Registry.

Heart O' Texas Fair and Rodeo

See everything from professional bull riders to mutton bustin' buckaroos. Enjoy live music nightly, calf scrambles, and livestock shows. Heart O' Texas has been held for more than 65 years, with attendance swelling each year. In 2018, more than 193,000 people attended.
