The Quilters Guild of Plano presents this annual quilt show that features hundreds of judged quilts, vendors, and skill sessions. The Texas Women Anglers Tournament is a women-only, family-run fishing tournament held every summer in Port Aransas. It was founded in the 1980s with the mission to raise funds for the Women’s Shelter of South Texas, now named The Purple Door. In 1989, 18 boats registered for the tournament with over 50 women anglers. Today, an average of 70 boats and over 400 women anglers gather in Port Aransas to fish the tournament.

The Kendall County Fair Association hosts the 118th annual Kendall County Fair. Head to the fairgrounds for a weekend of good old-fashioned community fun, with vendors, a Queen’s Pageant, a rodeo and livestock show on Friday and Saturday, and Bull Riding Extreme on Sunday.
