Quilters enjoy a quilt show displayed in the courthouse. Participate in and win prizes in the official adult and children’s costume contest. Enter your little one in the Children’s Parade. Children can also enjoy the games and crafts around the courthouse square. Shopping is abundant from vendors and local shops. This family-friendly event in downtown Camp Wood features a parade, live music, a rodeo, and a dance. It kicks off with a reunion of teachers and former Nueces Canyon students at Lindbergh Park, with live music by Shane Stumpf. The next day starts with a parade in downtown Camp Wood, followed by more events in Lindbergh Park including the king and queen coronation, annual pie and salsa contests, and a decades-old washer and horseshoe tournament. Vendors are on hand, selling artwork, crafts, woodwork, leatherwork, jewelry, candles, paintings, hats, baked goods, stonework, taxidermy, new clothing, handbags, and a variety of food.
