Birding the Border Festival
Taking place each spring in Val Verde and Kinney counties and hosted by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, this birding festival allows participants the opportunity to see a wide variety of birds, including golden-cheeked warblers and black-capped vireos, in the borderlands of southwest Texas. Meet birding guides and fellow birders while spending the mornings guided to inhabitants for prime bird-watching. There is also a photography-focused trip each day, guided by Dr. Dorian Anderson.
