The Deep Sea Round Up Fishing Tournament
What began in 1932 as the Tarpon Roundup has grown from a handful of Port Aransas fishing and hunting guides pitting their skills against one another to becoming the largest family fishing tournament on the Texas Gulf Coast. The event attracts fishers of all ages and skill levels and draws over 800 contestants annually. The monies from the Deep Sea Roundup are used to fund scholarships for community students and support community youth activities. This year's roundup welcomes a new kayak division as well.
