Emerson String Quartet in Concert
The talents of this legendary quartet are well served with this program, beginning with the lyrical quartet from Alexander Borodin, with its delightful sense of affection throughout, and William Walton's "Quartet No. 2," filled with rhythmic energy, followed by Dmitri Shostakovich's "Quartet No. 9," devoted to his dear wife, Irina.
