Tomato Fest
For one week in June, Jacksonville becomes "Tomatoville." One of the most popular events of the festival is the tomato-eating contest, where local celebrities fight to be the champion tomato eater. Additional events include the dodgeball tournament and five blocks of vendors, food, fried green tomatoes, a salsa contest, and many more tomato-centric events. Don't miss the tomato farm-to-table dinner, where dinner is made with fresh, homegrown food from local farmers.
