Nueces Canyon Old Settlers Reunion

This family-friendly event in downtown Camp Wood features a parade, live music, a rodeo, and a dance. It kicks off with a reunion of teachers and former Nueces Canyon students at Lindbergh Park, with live music by Shane Stumpf. The next day starts with a parade in downtown Camp Wood, followed by more events in Lindbergh Park including the king and queen coronation, annual pie and salsa contests, and a decades-old washer and horseshoe tournament. Vendors are on hand, selling artwork, crafts, woodwork, leatherwork, jewelry, candles, paintings, hats, baked goods, stonework, taxidermy, new clothing, handbags, and a variety of food. A rodeo and dance follows at Bruce Park on State Highway 55, 1 mile north of Camp Wood. Tickets are needed for the rodeo and dance.
