Mermaid Promenade and Downtown Street Faire
With over 100 entries in recent years, the Downtown Mermaid Promenade is a highly anticipated new tradition celebrating the city’s marvelous artistic and river community. Local pubs and restaurants join the fun with watch parties and specials created just for this event. Parade-goers line the streets even before the carnivalesque music signals the beginning of the procession. The fun continues at the Downtown Street Faire immediately following the parade. Within walking distance from downtown, families can enjoy this free community festival of art, live music, food, and fun.
