Cotton Harvest Festival
In days gone by, Kerens was a major cotton producing area in Texas. To celebrate the harvest and fund the newly built library, the Kerens Cotton Harvest Festival began. For the last 17 years, the committee has striven to revive the excitement of the harvest fun from years gone. The main street in town is filled with with nearly 100 exhibitors selling their wares, a car show, tractor show, quilt show, photography, and a pie contest along with wonderful live music in the air. To top off the festival, a street dance is held in the evening.
