A Year After the Tornado, Caddo Mounds State Historic Site Provides a Lesson in Resilience
The deadly tornado of April 2019 left a trail of destruction and injury. Though closed at present because of COVID-19, the site aims to rebuild in a way that's respectful to the Caddo people whose ancestors construct built the mounds. "We have an opportunity to nurture and rebuild this place from the ground up.”
