Traces of Texas reader Kim Crumbley graciously shared this 1910 photo of her great-grandparents on their wedding day in Swisher, located in the Panhandle. Sadly, on July 3, 1926, they were involved in a car wreck. Her great-grandfather died that day and her great-grandmother died a few days later, on July 9. Her death certificate indicates that she was in a coma and never woke up, but Kim says the family believes she died of a broken heart.
