Oktoberfest 5K and Fun Run

Part of Fort Worth’s Oktoberfest, this race features 5K courses that run along the Trinity Trail with fairly flat routes. All participants receive a commemorative Oktoberfest beer stein and a three-day pass to the Oktoberfest festival and race swag. There’s also a costume contest, the largest team contest, and stein hoisting. Dressing in lederhosen is recommended.

The GM Financial Parade of Lights illuminates the streets of downtown Fort Worth with illuminated floats, an array of festive performers, holiday décor, live music, and hundreds of thousands of sparkling lights. Carrying on the tradition, this year’s parade concludes with a special appearance from Santa and Mrs. Claus on their finale float.
