“Texture and Time” by J. Muzacz

“Texture and Time: Digital Impressionism Meets Geometric Abstraction in Glass and Tile” is series of works that stretches the materiality of mosaics from repurposed shards of stained glass and vitreous tile to Mexican Talavera and fine Turkish marble. Contemporary mosaic motifs are upended by graffiti scrawls and striking portraiture of urban art icons.” An opening reception takes place on Aug. 8, followed by a talk with artist J. Muzacz on Aug. 9.

Downtown Candy Crawl

Attend a free, family-friendly event where kids and adults alike can put on their favorite costumes and enjoy an afternoon of trick-or-treating at local businesses. It’s a fun, safe, and festive way to celebrate Halloween in the heart of Georgetown, with activities for ghosts and goblins of all ages.

Lighting of the Square

Nov. 27

Georgetown Square, 103 W. Seventh St.

Kick-off the holiday season with the annual Lighting of the Square on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Downtown holiday lights remain lit every evening through January 1st. Entertainment during the event is provided by the Uptown Carolers. Toy donations to the Georgetown Police Department Blue Santa and to Williamson County Brown Santa are encouraged.
