The 121st San Antonio Deutsche Weihnachtsfeier takes place in the evening at the Margarite B. Parker Chapel on the campus of Trinity University. The Christmas story is told entirely in the German language using scripture, German Christmas poetry, prayers, choral and congregational singing, and instrumental music. Come and sing “Stille Nacht,” “O Tannenbaum,” and other Christmas carols in German, with words and music provided. The Beethoven Maennerchor and the San Antonio Liederkranz choirs perform, and the celebration usually lasts 90 minutes. Arrive early to hear Dr. David Heller’s prelude on the chapel organ.
