Traces of Texas reader Kathy Thornton kindly sent in this fantastic early 1940s image of a store in Westphalia. H.A. Hoelscher built the store in 1907 as a dry goods and notions store. Later, groceries were added. The store is still standing and is currently used as a venue for weddings, reunions, and parties.
