holiday in a glass

Most cocktail recipes call for a dash or two of Angostura bitters, but this lush and spicy number uses the bitters as a base spirit.

We call it “Holidaze in a Glass,” a nod to its vivid red color, foamy top, and celebratory nature.

In a shaker, combine 1.5 ounces Angostura bitters, .5 ounce lemon juice, .75 ounces simple syrup, and one egg white.

Shake like mad and strain into a martini glass or champagne coupe.
