Immanuel and Helen Olshan Texas Music Festival

Classical music’s rising stars from premier music schools and conservatories from around the world alight to study and perform major classical works for the 30th anniversary season of this festival. The one-month international music residency features performances by gifted student musicians and distinguished conductors and faculty artists in more than 30 performances, including the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Young Artist concerto competition. Select Saturdays kick off with pre-concert musical performances by members of Virtuosi of Houston and pre-concert lectures. Featured works include favorites by Prokofiev (featuring guest soloist 2017 Van Cliburn Piano Competition silver medalist Kenneth Broberg), Copland, Rimsky-Korsakov, Wagner, Strauss, and Mahler.
