Great Western Trail Days

The Great Western Trail was etched into U.S. history during the late 1800s. Starting in Mexico and ending in Canada, the trail snaked through Central Texas, including Coleman County, and is known to be the longest cattle trail in the world. This community event preserves the western heritage of the pioneers who risked it all to deliver beef to northern markets. Events include a registered longhorn show, ranch horse events, a pioneer market, living history, and educational events.
