W.K. Stratton

W.K. (Kip) Stratton lives and works in the greater Austin area. He is the author of six books of nonfiction and five books of poetry. His book, The Wild Bunch, was a Los Angeles Times bestseller and won three national awards. A finalist for a National Magazine Award, he has written for many magazines, including Outside, GQ, The Daily Beast, Texas Monthly, Cowboys & Indians, and Sports Illustrated, in addition to Texas Highways. Stratton frequently writes about the West.
